FERAL – Kids Club
Our fun Kids Club called Feral – is a great place where kids can really let loose and run around, play games, make stuff and hear an age appropriate talk from the bible..

Starting back on Friday the 10th February 2017 at 4pm – 5:30pm in the church building and run by our very fun coordinators including Mad Scientist Jen, Extreme Man Harry and Ross.

Activities and games are aimed at kids in primary school grades year 3, 4, 5 and 6.

All of our volunteers are required to complete a SAFE  ministry training course and undergo a working with children background check.

Kids Church
Our Kids Church program is run during school terms for primary school aged children as part of the 9:30am Sunday morning service. The Kids Church program takes place in the hall connected to the main church building, and runs for around 30 mins during the second half of the service. We aim to teach kids about God in a creative and fun way using stories from the bible, singing, games and craft.

Currently the program is aimed at school-aged kids (Kinder to year 6). Preschoolers are welcome with an adult to supervise and help them settle in.

Parents and carers with younger children and babies usually remain in the church building with the adults for the second half of the service. There is a comfortable area with couches and books for children to the side of the church building, where parents & carers can sit with smaller children and still be part of the service.

What you can expect on an average Sunday morning:
The morning service at church starts with children and adults meeting together in the main church building. During the first 15 min or so we sing, often pray, and have a short time where we discuss the issue the adults will be looking at that week. Then the school-aged children go next door to the church hall for our Kids Church program.

Kids Church has at least two leaders each week and as a group they learn from the bible through drama, story and interaction. We often play games that are related to the ‘big idea’ of the lesson. We pray for each other and do activities such as singing, memorising short sections of the bible, sport and craft.

Kids Church lasts between 30-40 min and finishes when morning service finishes.

What you can expect on an average Sunday evening:
Kids are, of course, welcome to our evening service. We currently don’t have a separate program for kids but it is not uncommon for children to be colouring in together, building things with Lego, making playdough figures or reading during the service in our crèche enclosed crèche rom for kids and parents.

Leaders
Our Kids Church team is made up of leaders who love Jesus and kids! Kids Church is run by a team of volunteers who have all compulsorily undergone “Working With Children” checks. Volunteers are also requested to complete a “Safe Ministry” training every three years, run by the Anglican Church.

Come say hello on a Sunday or contact one of our pastors if you have any questions!
